La Vierge is a privately owned wine producer, based in the picturesque and world-renowned Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, on the Whale Coast of South Africa. With 44Ha under vine, La Vierge currently produces around 100 000 bottles of premium wine per annum as well as supplying quality grapes to third party buyers.
The winery can process up to 300 tonnes and has a big barrel maturation facility. Cool temperatures, high rainfall and cool ocean breezes have allowed us to practice dryland farming. No irrigation meanslower yield. But lower yield, in our case, results in a concentration of big flavours.
