Lammershoek Rosé 2020

Easy-drinking, crisp and fresh Provence style rosé from dryland bush-vines.

The grapes for this subtle rosé were harvested early in the morning and selected from various parcels of well-established, unirrigated and untrellised vineyards – mostly Syrah, enhanced with portions of Mourvèdre and Grenache. After cooling to 10° Celsius, the grapes were destemmed, crushed and sent to the press. With no skin contact fermentation took place in a mixture of stainless steel and old French oak barrels, creating two components where stainless steel results in a crispy freshness and the oak barrels create a creamy and medium-bodied mouthfeel, with a clean, lingering aftertaste.
